The Forgettable Plants

The “forgettable” plants should really be called “reliables” in my book, because they’ve proven to be hardy and low-maintenance companions. Take my yucca, for instance – it thrives in its sunny spot with a mere bi-monthly drink of water if that, even during the hottest apartment days.

Then there’s my raven ZZ plant, a consistent producer of new growth, which never fails to bring a smile to my face. When someone asks for an effortless plant recommendation, I confidently suggest the ZZ plant. Just remember not to overwater it, unless your soil drains exceptionally fast and dries out quickly. So not weekly for MOST people.

These dependable plants will continue to grace my space for the long haul. They effortlessly fill the room with their green charm, demanding very little from me – a gardener’s dream. While I do appreciate the challenge of high-maintenance plants, there’s always a special place in my heart for these trusty, easy-care companions that never let me down.
