When the warmer weather arrived in Phoenix, I couldn’t help but notice how my astrophytum started pushing out beautiful blooms. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed! The blooms appeared rather quickly, but unfortunately, they disappeared after just a couple of days. However, I did notice a couple of buds emerging, giving me hope that the show isn’t over yet.

To be honest, I didn’t have any expectations for my astrophytum to bloom, and it didn’t bother me either way. I absolutely love it just as it is. The delicate, yellow flower is so gorgeous! I sat and looked at it for way too long ahaha.

A while ago, I made a blog post expressing my dislike for old or mature astrophytum plants. However, my visit to the Desert Botanical Garden completely changed my perspective. I realized how incredibly beautiful they are.

I’m genuinely hoping to keep my astrophytum for a very long time.
