Despite not wanting or liking them anymore, it can be challenging to give away plants. In my personal experience, I had five plants in a tray with a “FREE PLANTS” sign next to them for an entire month in my living room. However, when the desert rose started to loose a few leaves, I felt guilty for not taking care of them better and took it upon myself to water and nurture them back to good health.
After nursing them back to health, I took them down to the first level of my apartment complex and placed them next to the elevator, but I felt a sense of abandonment as I left them there. It’s fascinating how humans can develop such emotional connections to inanimate objects like plants.
Upon returning to my apartment, I felt better and hoped that all five plants would find good homes. I asked my husband to check if any were left because I couldn’t bear to see one by itself downstairs. Thankfully, all of them were gone, and the thought of them being welcomed into loving homes brought me comfort and joy.
