We’re officially moved in to our new apartment!

The road trip was fun and we survived the issues that came up. My plants didn’t suffer much – I did poorly compared to them just thinking they’re suffering, ahaha. We arrived on Thursday and while tired, we got the plants in and the essentials into the apartment….I was so ready for bed but checked on all the plants.

Managed to get everything into the apartment the following day and spent the rest of the weekend sleeping in and drinking plenty of water, ahaha.

I was originally thinking of putting my succulents, yucca, dracaena, and maybe my cacti and avocado tree out on the balcony once they’re adjusted to their new environment, but eventually I put out the yucca, dracaena, and the small succulents. The plants did burn a little but with daily moving around so they’re not completely in the sun all the time, they’re fairing much better! 

I bought 2 IKEA balcony planters and I’m hoping to buy a couple large cacti to sit in them. I already bought a burro tail and a golden rat tail cactus, ahaha. It has the signs of stretching for light but I bought the best one from that nursery and for $7 I wasn’t displeased honestly. I was looking at spending $20 or more online so I’ll take these.

In the beginning of the moving plan I told myself I wasn’t going to go crazy for plants but now that we’re here all I think about is cacti. All day every day. All I want to do is go cacti shopping but I have delay gratification for a bit. I’ll be able to in the next couple weeks…..but it’s killing me!
