During the month when I was feeling overwhelmed with how many plants I have, I decided I wanted to combine my peperomias. ✌🏼🪴s in ☝🏼planter = ☝🏼🪴in my mind, ahaha. It helped me out tremendously mentally!
I think the peperomias turned out okay, but not fabulous, and now I want to get the other obtusifolia varieties and pot them in with my red edge and variegata to create a Frankenstein pot of colors. I think it would be so cool looking if I arrange the colors correctly so that’s my plan, lightly penciled in for 2023.
So it got me thinking about my two pothos (emerald and global green), and eventually when they outgrow their pots I’m probably going to repot them together. The emerald is definitely a slower grower compared to the global green so it might not work….
And then from there I was like wellllll what else could I combine down the road….? Spies my scindapsus in the window sill. I want to buy a scindapsus argyraeus to pair with my exotica……The smaller and large leaves would give such dimension and contrast with the leave patterns that I want to do it now but with a move coming up soon it doesn’t make sense to add more stress to the move with another plant to box up, ahaha.
If we move to Arizona (we’re checking out apartments now) I will probably buy a ton of cacti if we have outdoor space or a nice window ledge for them indoors so regular wishlist houseplants will sit on the sidelines for a bit, ahaha.
Anyways, if feeling stressed in the future about the number of plants I have or honestly need a change on things, I’m definitely going to combine plants (that aren’t from the same family even) if they share the same light and watering needs.
